At the literal intersection of iconic Wilshire Boulevard and Berendo Street, Immanuel Presbyterian Church is a progressive spiritual community with heart, history and hope.

Heart – Our compassionate church community is based in the heart of Los Angeles, and is open to all people from many cultures – gender, age, ethnicity, economic status, educational, religious backgrounds, national origin, immigration status and sexual orientation.

History – As a designated historic landmark, the gothic designed building and the 125+ year congregation are deeply rooted in the City of Angels. Founded in downtown Los Angeles in 1888 by Reverend William Chichester, Immanuel Presbyterian Church later moved to its current location on the Miracle Mile in 1929.

Hope – Immanuel offers hope to the community through its open doors, immigrant support and social activism. The church community takes pride in the weekly Food Pantry, Bible Studies, and Worship Services that are open to all. Together, we work toward justice, inclusion and mutual transformation.

Immanuel has a long tradition of inclusion, innovation and community outreach. We hope that you will find us to be a welcoming community to call home. Immanuel aims to inspire and transform the ways we live, act, and heal in the world. Join us for Services on Sundays and Wednesdays and Get Involved
